Spirits ran high and networking was at its finest on the Cross Campus rooftop in Beverly Hills on November 16th as the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Los Angeles (FACCGLA) held a dual event: Entrepreneur Bootcamp Graduation and the Chamber’s November Networking Mixer. FACCGLA prides itself in its continuous efforts to be a resource to its entrepreneur members. In partnership with National ACE, FACCGLA has hosted a total of 14 Entrepreneur Bootcamp Events which covered pertinent topics including mental health awareness, accounting, marketing, government contracts, and more. Attendees who participated in at least 9 of the 14 events were eligible to graduate and receive special certification. Over the course of the Entrepreneur Bootcamp Series, FACCGLA held events that could be attended both virtually and in person.
The evening’s last Entrepreneur Bootcamp Event highlighted Dr. Bill Saleeby, Networking Guru and Author of 5 Books. In-person attendees enjoyed each other’s company in addition to fine Filipino fare from Bamboo Bistro as they listened to Dr. Saleeby impart his networking wisdom. Dr. Saleeby emphasized the importance of networking in business and life. He gave great advice about formulating an effective “elevator speech.” As we were entering the season of giving, Dr. Saleeby also stressed the importance of giving and getting involved in your favorite organizations. Dr. Saleeby had much to offer in conveying his insights on networking.
The Chamber’s Graduation and November Networking Mixer was quite the success! FACCGLA would like to thank Lorraine D’Alessio of the D’Alessio Law Group for being such a gracious venue host.
