The Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon (PACCO) is one of the grant awards recipients from Business Oregon for organizations focused on under-served small businesses. A total fund of $250,000.00 was awarded to PACCO. This fund shall be spent in delivering technical assistance services. Having experienced the challenges that the small business owners dealt with everyday as we served them in the last 14 months with previously funded technical assistance programs, greatly enhanced service packages will be offered this round.
To quote Pacco’s Executive Director, Ellen Bolus-Edmonds, ” We saw the need to enable entrepreneurs to work ON their businesses as opposed to working IN them. They want to grow but most of the time, they are too overwhelmed with putting out fires that they don’t have the time to learn new things that would increase their productivity”.
With the huge shift in the way business is conducted in the 21st century, our offered programs remain to be crucial to the small business owners so they may be able to compete with huge corporations having deeper pockets invested on staff, intense research, online marketing programs, e-commerce platforms. PACCO has enhanced KEY programs/services to include : virtual assistance services, business plan review & assistance, mentoring/cohort business coaching on resiliency & business expansion, referrals and resource navigation, marketing and brand identity, technology services – web development, social media management, e-commerce.
PACCO hopes to expediently help qualified entrepreneurs to either start and/or sustain and expand their businesses to create more jobs thus contributing in growing the economy.
Please watch out for application timelines and hiring announcements coming out next week!
