WHY JOIN COFACC?
When you are a member of an chamber or association that is a member-organization of COFACC, you gain access to:
A Chamber of Commerce Member-Organization or an Independent Corporate Member (A or B) of COFACC, in good standing, will have automatic access to the One Filipino Directory created and managed by an independent service provider and authorized by COFACC for the purpose of providing valuable information for individuals/companies searching for potential clients, vendors, and business partners within their respective fields of interest or geographic coverage. Once becoming a member of his/her local chamber of commerce which is affiliated with COFACC, the individual member or company he/she represents, can start enjoying FREE Upgraded Benefits of using the directory system which is not available to outside parties at no cost.
For existing businesses within the Coalition group, COFACC serves as a platform of exchange of business information between two businesses leading to actual business transactions between the two parties. Both parties will have to register in the COFACC database to be able to do business matchmaking services for interested parties.
Under a Reciprocity Agreement among the Chamber Member-Organizations of COFACC, any member (individual or corporate) in good standing with their local Chamber of Commerce may enjoy the same member discount benefits when purchasing any items (e.g. event tickets, merchandise, etc.) and/or services offered by another COFACC affiliated Fil-Am Chamber of Commerce to its general membership upon the discretion of the local chamber leadership team.
For areas/cities which do not yet have their own local FilAm Chamber of Commerce, COFACC provides a basic Step-by-Step Manual of Procedures for Starting a Chamber of Commerce. What is important is identifying the right person who can lead a group of committed business people believing in the same cause of serving only the interest of the Filipino American business community. Once started, COFACC training team WALKS THROUGH with the New Chamber leadership team in setting up their incorporation, Constitution and By-Laws, Code of Conduct, events planning, general membership meetings & mixers, etc. COFACC likewise shares information on the best practices of the more matured COFACC Chamber Member-Organizations.
COFACC co-sponsors/co-host with other nonprofit organizations in conducting leadership and skills building training sessions designed to develop and/or enhance an individual’s management, leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
For small to medium sized corporations joining COFACC, once becoming a member of the Coalition, COFACC provides immediate access to the various resource network base of all of the Coalition’s Chamber Member-Organizations. COFACC offers a wide range of opportunities for small to medium sized US corporations to promote their products and services through the websites, events, mixers, and any event organized by the local Chamber of Commerce or as a national event initiative under COFACC.
