Tina (Pedro) Gomes is a Member and one of the Board of Directors for the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce (“MFCOC”). For the MFCOC, she has been tasked to be the Chair of Government Affairs. She is an Independent Consultant in research, statistics, and data analysis. Additionally, she is an Educator specializing in secondary education for both public and private schools. Her work experience is boundless as like her academic achievements. She possesses three (3) degrees, numerous certificates, several licenses, and a couple of publications in the Hawaii Medical Journal.
Moreover, she has been involved in government relations and community advocation for nearly three-decades. She has been appointed to a number of County, State, and Non-For-Profit commissions and/or boards. And, is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (“CASA”) for the State of Hawaii Judiciary representing neglected and abused children.
Her objective has been to take on a position that can better utilize and enhance her gained knowledge and skills. She desires to work within the community by developing new programs and/or policies, and advocating for much needed organizations and/or agencies including volunteering as opportunities arise with time permitting her to do so.
